This website was created the week of Ken’s service in order to put his legacy in a format more accessible for both current and future generations. Our sincere prayer is that Ken’s life and ministry will encourage and challenge you to walk, in the words of C. S. Lewis, “further up and further in” with Jesus.
Life — This section captures Ken’s journey through cancer (via CaringBridge), his obituary, a recent article about his ministry in Charlotte, and a link to his “Going Home” celebration service on October 21.
Legacy — Though we include some video, audio, and other resources here, the primary reason we created this website was to have a place to share Ken’s extraordinary work over an almost 30-year period of writing his way through the Scriptures every morning. As a result, we have posted all 27 of the books he wrote — nearly half of the entire Bible. The totals are staggering:
Books: 27 of the 66 Biblical books
Pages: almost 3,000 pages in Word documents (2,938)
Words: 6,704,585. That’s 248,318 words per year, 680 words EVERY day for 27 years.
Lessons — This part of the site will include some of the lessons Ken learned along the way: excerpts from his journals, stories from others about things he said and did, etc.
